Let me quickly describe my problem I have encountered while trying to install the latest Acronis True Image 2010:
I double click the executable file and nothing ever happens. I tried even restarting the computer, but that didn’t help either.
After a few hours of searching for an answer I have finally found the solution to my problem:
You should not download the file with a download manager – as it clearly states in the download instructions on the Acronis Website:
Please turn off all download managers before selecting your product.
Some download managers will cause this operation to work incorrectly.
Please note that downloading the file with Firefox (which has a built-in download manger) makes the file unusable as well. So if you are a regular Firefox user, switch for downloading to Internet Explorer.
Sometimes the file can also get corrupted during the download. Then you just should try to re-download your product. And always remember to only download from the official Acronis website.
